the trees were mistaken

Sometimes there are days where I feel like I am an engine that is still running even though the cooling fluid has long leaked away. I just had five of those days in a row.

Exams can cause a lot of stress, especially if I haven't been keeping up with the material. That's my own fault, and you'd think I would learn enough to start working earlier, but somehow everything still manages to get pushed back until it becomes such a daunting burden that I can't even touch it until it is absolutely necessary.

In other news, it is the weekend, and I am welcoming it with a grateful, open embrace. I'll be alone these next few days, but that's perfectly alright by me: perhaps I'll start studying ahead for my next exams.
